Carson's Christmas Program

We just got back this morning from watching Carson's Christmas Program. He did very well as they sang several songs on the stage. He was also the cutest one up there!! (Grandpa's opinion)

Sister got to sit on Santa's lap!!

And a Family Portrait!!

P's First Meet of the Year...

We attended Paityn's first meet of the year at her  Boardman facility last Friday night.  While she will not obtain her scores until her next practice session, she did really well during the competition. Two of her friends, Natalie and Anna also came by to watch and to support her. It was a good evening!!!

So Proud of Brady!!

Tonight, we went and watched Brady play two tournament games at Niles. Usually, I take several photos and videos of his play... tonight I just watched during the two games. Didn't even track the score and innings on my phone app.

The first game they lost to Lakeview14-6. While they seemed tentative and intimidated by a really good team at the beginning of the game, they came on the last two innings and finished the game very respectfully.

In the second game against LaBrae, an 8:00 P.M. under-the-lights game, the team played awesome, at least in the latter innings. Down 11-7 going into the last inning, they rallied and tied the score. The team, and the parents were all "pumped"!!

Brady at bat. Bottom of the 7th (extra inning) with bases loaded.

In the extra inning, LaBrae came up and started off by hitting a home run with no one on. They went on to score two additional runs. In the bottom of the 7th, we scored one run. Then, with bases loaded and one out, Brady came to bat and blasted one to deep center. The center fielder caught it and then threw out our base runner on second  after he took off for third thinking it was going to fall.
Double play! Game over with us losing by two!

What a great game!!! What a great All Star season. Four tournaments and two championships!!!

We are so proud of Brady, and the entire team! I was especially proud of the way he came to the plate appearing comfortable and with confidence in that last inning and  hit that long blast to center field. (Brady also had a great hit down the third base line to score one earlier in the game. He also made several  plays at third including the catching of a foul ball deep off of the third base bag)

Congratulations, B!!!! We love you!!!

Mustang Ride!

On Monday Aub and Carson (and dad) stopped over for supper (their kitchen is still in the process of remodeling). After supper, we went for a ride in the Mustang. Their dad took a couple of pictures...

Love the hats!!

Another Championship!!

Great job, Blue!!
Brady's team won another championship last night in Girard Tournament.
They won the Championship game 11-5. They were down 4-0 in the bottom of the third and came back to win it. B had a great game... two nice hits and a couple of nice defensive plays!!

All Star Baseball Tournaments

Brady is on an All-Star Team, and they have entered three tournaments ... at Girard, at Lisbon and at their home field at Mill Creek.

We played at Mill Creek, under the lights. We lost to Canfield by one run, and to Boardman's very talented traveling team.

We played in, and won the championship game, in the Lisbon Tournament.

By rule, we won the championship game because we were up by more than 10 runs after the 4th inning.

We played our first game in the Niles tournament and we won 8-1. More games this weekend and next week.

A Fun "Sleep-Over"...

On Thursday, we had Aubree and Carson stay at our house overnight. While going to sleep became a little bit of an issue on Thursday night, we had a lot of fun on Friday.

In the morning on Friday we drove to Whitehouse Farms...

A little sugar never hurt anyone...

... including some donuts!!

We also went for a ride in Papa's convertible when we got home from Whitehouse Farms .

The rest of the day included going to Austintown Park and then to a restaurant for supper.  A great "sleep over" and great day !!!

"Great Hit.... Great game!

Friday night we got to go watch B play another baseball game... and it was "under the lights". The game was supposed to start at 7:00, however did not start till after 8:00, because of the previous game. B made some really nice defensive plays when he played third base and first base.
He struggled some at hitting his few times up to bat... BUT... hit a long home run to center field over the players head to clear the bases for the final play of the game. We were very proud of him, and thoroughly enjoyed the game.

"Great job, B !!!"

Bree's Program

What a nice Kindergarten Program! Aubree, and the other kindergarten students from her school, put on a nice program Thursday evening. The students "took a trip to see Farmer MacDonald, where the whole barnyard was singing". The program was titled, "E I E I Oops". Miss Aubree was a cute little piggy!!!
